The fourth week of the season of lent specifices our intensity of the preparation for the season of Easter. What surprises us of the readings of today is the wickedness of the wicked to terminate the goodwill of the good.
The pharisis socalled the leaders of the people try their utmost to kill Jesus. But Jesus being human avoids having known the intention of theirs. Probably this is the clue or the hint that Jesus gives to each one of us in our ministry. Sometimes we are so adamant in our ways of looking at things or functioning. At times smelling the rat of the premonitions we continue the good. Jesus advices us to go to the other side of the lake to preach the gospel to bring about life and the Kingdom of God.
The good actions are always criticised and talked about. The good people always paid for the truth they stood for. Think of the Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, Sr. Rani Maria, or Fr. Johnson of the province of Kolkata who worked in the mission land of Sirsia.

This makes us conclude that to be good is challenging.
On the other hand it is the call for each one of the to be good. It means to face the challenge with audacity. Our profession as a Salesian should help us to be good, to be clean as Jesus was.
May Jesus help us to be like Him. Thus prepare well to see the light of glory on the day of Easter.
